Throughout 2020 I have been creating infographics of #Canadian #COVID19 statistics to make #Canada's prevalence rates (how many cases there are), and other statistics (such as recovery rate, and how many people have died) easier to understand.
One important take away from COVID-19 in Canada, is the need to improve the quality of data collection, how data is used, and the way this is reported, and communicated to Canadians.
Knowledge exchange and knowledge translation are ways of making #evidencebased data, research, and information more accessible to people.
The ability to exercise #InformedConsent for any health interventions, to assess our individual risks, and make informed decisions, hinges upon having easy-to-understand data, and information about local, provincial/territorial, and national prevalence rates for COVID-19, or other health conditions.
